Wilding Cider
Wilding Cider, founded by Sam and Beccy Leach, is a small-batch organic and natural cider company located in Chew Magna, North Somerset, England. Their ciders are crafted from pure apple and pear juice without added sugar or sulfates, often drawing comparisons to wine for their complexity. Sourcing apples from its 5.5-acre home orchard and other old orchards, the company embraces natural inconsistencies reflecting environmental factors.
Commix 2024: "A new vintage of our classic table cider, Commix. A blend of Yarlington Mill, Dove, Browns, Bisquet, Sweet Coppin and Chisel Jersey. Commix 2024 has more residual sugar than the 2023 vintage, resulting in an off dry, balanced, easy drinking cider with fresh fruit on the nose, palate cleansing acidity and good, soft tannic backbone, balanced with the touch of residual sugar." Drink cool, not too cold. 5.5%
Reasons To Be Cheerful 2024: "A return of our popular fruity number. With quality fruit from old orchards, wild yeast, careful racking in the winter and patience, we can make naturally sweet cider the Rural Method. This is one such cider: good to drink with food or without, whenever you need a reason to be cheerful. Aromas of tropical fruit, oily herbs and wood are complemented by well balanced, ripe tannins and residualsugar." Drink cool, not too cold. 4.7%
Fieldwork 2022: "This is our answer to the traditional ciders made for farm workers. Not fine ciders but dry, refreshingbittersweet ciders for drinking in the fields or in the cider shed. Made with almost exclusively bittersweet varieties , the cool, wet season of 2023 has nonetheless made this a refreshing and very drinkable cider. Good with a ploughmans lunch, or a ham sandwich." 6.6%
