To Everybody Who Helped Create Our Shop - Thank You

As our shop finally opens, we would like to thank the huge cast of people who helped - not just with the fabric of the shop - but with the conversion of the building as a whole. Between getting the keys on 3 Jan 2020 to the shop opening its door just over a year later there was a multitude of decisions that had to be made and tasks that had to be carried out. We were lucky to work with great people, so here are some richly deserved thank yous.

For their work at 1 Station Rd, and on creating the shop:

Andy Despard and team (builders)
Kevin Thomas Electrical

Streat Crete
(concrete floor)
Artisan Projects
(sash windows)
Dartmoor Floor Sanding

John Todd Refrigeration

John Bullock Lighting Design

Brian Abbot (painting)
Mark Hill
(sign painting)
Dawlish Kitchens and Bedrooms
(shopfitting)
Deans Blinds
(awning)
Berwyn Slate

SJB Signs

Kevin Norey (flooring)

Also:

Everybody who works or has worked at The Cheese Shed.
All the incredibly talented cheese makers - and makers of other products.
Cheese suppliers Hawkridge and Longmans.
Deadline Distribution couriers (APC) especially Kerrie and Ricky

Good advice came from:

Nathaniel at Neal’s Yard Dairy
Andy at Courtyard Dairy
Paul Thomas (cheese consultant)
Jerry Whitlock

We mustn't forget our neighbours:

Neil and Jo, and Debbie - for all their patience over the last year
Kevin Wakefield of Thomas’ Bakers (ditto)
The people of Bovey Tracey for all their encouragement and support.

Thanks also to the key people who helped us to get from the old place to the new place:

Stuart and Liz Gregory (for agreeing to sell us the building)
Corin and Rebecca Burton (for buying the old one - and with such a great idea for it!)
Tracey Pearce at WBW solicitors
Tony Noon at Noon Roberts
And last but not least: Arthur Mann
