Sharpham Rustic with Smoked Chilli
Rustic is a classic, one-of-a-kind 'semi-soft' cheese from Devon dairy Sharpham.
Over the years there have been a few flavoured versions - the one that has really ‘stuck’ featuring garlic and chives - and here’s another twist on the same idea. This time Greg and head cheesemaker Pete have gone to the South Devon Chilli Farm near Loddiswell, for a mix of chopped chillies including some smoked ones.
Sharpham Rustic With Smoked Chilli is a subtle tweak on Rustic rather than a dramatic lurch in a different flavour direction, but is a great new incarnation of this classic cheese, and undeniably beautiful with its scattering of red and brown flecks.
Pasteurised, vegetarian.
