A new Devon ewes' milk cheese!

Mike Hilditch farms his sheep just north-east of Moretonhampstead - quite close to The Cheese Shed. The milk is sent off to the Curworthy dairy near Okehampton who produce this cheese, loosely based on the classic 'Curworthy' recipe, though the result is drier, fuller-flavoured and - of course - it's a sheeps' cheese. We are selling it under the name Moreton as a nod to where the milk comes from.

Being new, we would expect this to vary a little from batch to batch. It may also come and go in terms of availability (see below).

Vegetarian, pasteurised, sold in wedges of approx. 180g.

1 Because this is new and in very short supply, for the time being we are rationing it (!). Only wedges of around 180g are available.

2 We cannot guarantee to have stocks for very long, so we would ask you to order for immediate delivery only. We are unlikely to have any by Christmas.
