Our starting point here is three great products from north Devon. Warhorse cider, made in Sampford Courtenay, is perfectly matched with a modern classic of the artisan cheese scene, made just up the road - Rachel Stephens's tangy Devon Oke. From our home town of Bovey Tracey, Clare Gault adds her beautiful Sweet Pickled Cucumbers.
In pursuit of a well-balanced cheese experience we add two totally different local cheeses, creamy Sharpham Rustic plus soft and super-smooth Vulscombe with Peppercorns. Then all you need for your Westcountry cheese feast is Rick Stein's oatcakes with sea salt.
Named in honour of the the great writer Michael Morpurgo (Why The Whales Came, War Horse and many more), a resident of north Devon.
