If your roots are in Piddletrenthide, Hazelbury Plucknett or Ryme Intrinsica, or if you're a Thomas Hardy fan, or if you have fond memories of Durdle Dor and Corfe Castle, then it clearly has to be Dorset cheese ...
Our Dorset Selection comprises three lovely contrasting cheeses. Firstly there's cheddar from Denhay Farm, near Bridport. Denhay, who've been making cheddar since 1959 use milk entirely from their own herd of Friesians. Annette Lee's Woolsery goats cheese is a firm favourite*, and Dorset's unique Blue Vinney completes the trio.
Quantities? In the smaller selection you get a 300g mini-truckle of the Woolsery, plus the same amount of Denhay and Vinney as cut pieces. It all comes nicely packed with a letter giving a little information about each cheese, and a card if you want one (you'll be asked for your message in the checkout process). My best handwriting is used!
* Annette makes her cheese very near the famous 'rude man of Cerne Abbas', but we can't guarantee that her cheese has any benefical effects in the area of potency or fertility ...
