Two Hearts!
The Cornish Selection

Welcome, Cheese Lover, Welcome

Welcome to the Cheese Shed!  This unassuming building, perched on a Devon hillside, is the nerve centre of an operation which has cheese obsessives from Southend to Stornaway all of a quiver.  If you've visited before. you'll know all about it.  If not, then, gentle reader, read on ...

Tuscan Interlude

Earlier this year, my wife and I went to Tuscany for a week.  By pure chance (no, really) we found ourselves next door to Pienza, which is bang in the middle of Pecorino (sheeps' cheese) country.  The cheese shops were fantastic, and what struck me was that they were almost entirely stocked with cheeses from the region.

And that's what we do.   Our part of the world - the English Westcountry - is full of magnificent cheeses, many of them from small makers, and not easy to find in the shops.  So we set up The Cheese Shed and stocked it with over 100 fab varieties.

Planet Cheddar

Many of you will know about our various gift boxes (and for some people, the only thing you can do is Say It With Cheese ...) and now here's the latest.  Planet Cheddar is for people who know what they like ... and what they like is cheddar.  Four gorgeous examples from our hand-picked selection should set them up for the perfect weekend in ...

We love our new boxes: official

We're always trying to improve the presentation, and it's just moved up another notch with these specially printed boxes.  Love 'em, love 'em, love 'em.

Wedding cakes: gorgeous or what?

Couldn't resist putting our most glamorous item on the front page.  What's that?  No, not Annie, the cake designer, but a selection of the cakes she decorated at our recent photo session.  Pictured here (bottom pic, l to r) are Zennor, Haldon and Cerne.
