Quicke's, based at Newton St Cyres, just north of Exeter, are world famous for their cheddar, and this is the most mature version. The cheese, muslin-wrapped, is matured on wooden shelves for 2 years.
Just a thought ... if you like strong cheese, why not consider Diana Smart's fab Double Gloucester? It's a lovely, powerful cheese, but easily overlooked due to the gravitational pull of cheddar. This is my latest campaign! |
