Chianti Prunatelli

A classic Chianti from the beautiful family owned Prunatelli estate - 100 hectares of vineyards just east of Florence. Medium ruby in colour, this has a very pretty nose of cherries and almonds, with an underlying smoky edge. The palate is brimming with soft, ripe juicy cherry fruit, with soft, chalky tannins and fine acidity giving great balance. Ewes' milk cheese could work well wtih this.
