Oakdown
This is a soft, fresh (i.e made very quickly) goats cheese made with unpasteurised milk from "happy free range goats", it says on the box, and who can argue with that? It's very moist, very subtle – and made just 'round the corner' from us in the Teign Valley by Max and Jacie Pillar. Visiting them, you're very struck by how much they love their flock of 70+ goats who, as far as I can see, live the life of Riley.
There are two flavours - plain or herb &garlic; the 165g Oakdown is beautifully presented in a tiny wooden drum.
