Christmas Three

For these Christmas boxes we’ve used our knowledge and contacts to put together beautiful selections of artisan cheeses from ‘off the beaten track’: something delicious and just a little different this Christmas.

We like to give our business to a number of dairies, so there’s a few different cheeses involved, but the balance of cheese types will be maintained. Your Christmas Three will contain:

a firm cows’ milk cheese, chosen from:

Miss Muffet, made by Sue Proudfoot - this springy, sweet, cheese was a big award winner in 2011, Cornish Smuggler, Sue’s take on cheddar, with attractive orange-veined colouring. Curworthy, the modern classic from North Devon’s Rachel Stephens; Meldon and Vergin, flavoured versions of Curworthy featuring ale and mustard or stem ginger respectively.

a blue, chosen from:

Devon Blue, ‘Best English Cheese’ at this years British Cheese Awards; Cornish Blue, Supreme Champion at the 2010 World Cheese Awards; Dorset Blue Vinney, the Westcountry’s great traditional blue.

a soft cheese, either:

Sharpham, from probably the country’s most experienced makers of ‘brie’ style cheese, or Bath Soft Cheese, a lovely organic brie from Graham Padfield of Kelston.

The Christmas Three will contain 1-1.1kg cheese in total.

white box or red ‘posh box’?

At the basic price the your cheese will be packed in our white Cheese Shed box. It’s smart, but the hand-made red ‘posh box’ (£3.50) is even better. You can see both in the photos; to go posh, tick the box at top right before ordering.

Christmas delivery information

If you type in ‘Christmas’ when asked for a delivery date in checkout, we will deliver on the 20th, 21st or 22nd December (but note that we can’t specify which date). For full Christmas delivery information, see this page.

What else is in the box?

More than just cheese! There’s an information sheet telling you about all the cheeses, a card bearing your message (you’ll give us this in checkout), a newsletter and - best of all - your very own pop-out cardboard shed!
