This is a soft, fresh (i.e made very quickly) goats cheese made with unpasteurised milk from "happy free range goats", it says on the box. And who can argue with that? It's very moist, very subtle – and made just 'round the corner' from us in the Teign Valley by Max and Jacie Pillar. Visiting them, you're very struck by how much they love their flock of 70+ goats who, as far as I can see, l ive the life of Riley!
The original 'plain' cheese (blue box) has now been joined by a Herb & Garlic flavoured version (green box).
The 165g Oakdown is beautifully presented in a tiny wooden drum.
