Sorry - we can no longer take orders for Mothers' Day 2010.
Presenting our Mothers' Day Cheese Gift Box for the 14th of March.
Of course, you know when Mothers' Day is! Of course. Cheese Shed customers aren't the sort of people that would forget their Mums, no way. So - here's our Mothers' Day Cheese Box, with an emphasis on Sheer Indulgence.
Tangy, tasty Godminster Cheddar has proved a big favourite with our customers from the start, so we're including a 200g truckle, together with a box of Fine Cheese crackers.
But the really exciting item here may be the cheese hidden in that little wooden tub. Last summer I did a bit of judging in a cheese competition, alongside one of the country's leading experts. One of the cheeses she positively raved about was this one, from Neustift Cheese, based in Wiltshire. Trying it, I could see why: it's the fluffiest, softest cheese imaginable, almost like a mousse, divinely flavoured with lemon and lavender, would you believe. It's amazing. Click on the side photo to check it out.
Then you just need something to move on to after the cheese, so here's a selection of delicious handmade truffles from Brownes Chocolates - based just up the road from us in the tiny Dartmoor hamlet of Throwleigh.
Included in the price of £26 is the Cheese Shed's own red Posh Box - itself good enough to eat.
Please Note: because Neustift is a fresh cheese with a short life, we won't be able to deliver this box until Friday 12th March. The cheese will be made on Monday 8th, and we judge the Friday to be the best delivery day.
